  16. When a user invokes an SNMPv2 (RFC 1441) management application, it
  17. may be desirable for the user to specify the minimum amount of
  18. information necessary to establish and maintain SNMPv2 communications.
  19. This RFC suggests an approach to achieve this goal.

  21. This memo provides information for the Internet community.  It does
  22. not specify an Internet standard.  Distribution of this memo is
  23. unlimited.

  25. This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
  26. Requests to be added to or deleted from the IETF distribution list
